MEDIA ADVISORY: 39th House Designed and Built by MCPS Students to Be Unveiled

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students will unveil the 39th Young American House during a Cornerstone Ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The 2,500-square-foot house, located at 3718 Munsey St. in Silver Spring, was designed and built completely by students.

The Cornerstone Ceremony is the culmination of a three-year project that will recognize students’ achievements in the Montgomery County Students Construction Trades Foundation program and provide an opportunity for students to showcase their work.

The home has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a finished basement, and a one-car garage with a work area. The house will be listed on the market after the Cornerstone Ceremony.

What: Cornerstone Ceremony for 39th Young American House. The evening will include student recognitions, tours of the house and light refreshments.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
