MEDIA ADVISORY: Chief Manger and Interim Superintendent Bowers to Speak on Back-To-School Safety Friday

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) and Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will host a media event on Friday, August 28, 2015, to discuss back-to-school safety. The opening of the MCPS school year on Monday, August 31, 2015, means that more than 156,000 students will be walking, riding, or taking the bus to school. The chief of police and interim superintendent of schools will ask for the community’s help in keeping students safe as they travel to and from school.
