The second annual character education conference, "Developing World Class Citizens 2001," will be held on Saturday, March 10, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at James Hubert Blake High School. School staff, parents and community leaders will be among those participating.
Keynote speaker will be Dr. Tom Lickona, a leader in the character education movement. Participants will be able to choose from a number of workshops on topics such as Media Literacy, Teaching Character Education through Children's Literature, and Implementing a Values Education Curriculum in an Alternative Middle School Setting.
