The Bi-Partisan Congressional School Health and Safety Caucus and leading national health and education organization members of the Friends of School Health are sponsoring a briefing on student health issues for Congressional staff members.

A visit to Eastern Middle School will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about school health programs from school and community staff. Topics will include school-based and school-linked health services, health education, indoor air quality, nutrition, crisis management, and improvement of academic achievement through improving health.

The briefing will take place on Monday, June 11, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Eastern Middle School, 300 University Boulevard, East in Silver Spring.
