A return to some normal operations is being made today, Thursday, October 10, with the resumption of all indoor afterschool and evening student and community activities at Montgomery County Public Schools, but not outdoor activities at schools for students and the public.

Decisions on these activities will be made on a daily basis in response to unfolding events.

Indoor school and public activities will be held, as previously scheduled. All evening high school and adult education programs will be held as scheduled. School activity buses will operate as scheduled.

All "outdoor" extracurricular and athletic activities -- both school-based and community-based -- are canceled for this afternoon and evening.

After-school day care will continue, as well as other community and public activities inside school buildings.
