An information meeting on Northeast Consortium signature programs has been scheduled for families of Grade 8 students who are currently enrolled in private schools and reside in the Northeast Consortium attendance area. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. at the Spring Mill Field Office, 11721 Kemp Mill Road in Silver Spring.

The presentation will include an overview of the signature programs at the three Consortium high schools and an explanation of the Preferred Choice student assignment process. The meeting will provide private school parents and students with information about the following Consortium high schools and their signature programs:

§ James Hubert Blake High School
Fine Arts and Humanities

§ Paint Branch High School
Science and Media

§ Springbrook High School
Information Technology in a Global
Society; International Baccalaureate

Following the presentation, private school students will have the opportunity to enroll in the Preferred Choice Process for the 2003-2004 school year. Appointments are required to participate in the enrollment process following the information meeting.
