What:
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), in partnership with the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) and the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, will host a press conference to highlight behavioral health services provided to students and families through the CHRC grant. MCPS will be presented with a significant award to continue these important services.
Grants are projected to serve approximately 6,000 MCPS students, ranging from pre-k through 12th grade. These grants build on the successes of grants implemented during the 2024-2025 school year -- 81% of MCPS students demonstrated improved behavioral health outcomes and 93% of students and families reported satisfaction with services. Funding was provided by the Maryland General Assembly as part of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future.
