The following is a joint statement by the Montgomery County Public Schools and the Montgomery County Education Association released today [Thursday, August 30]:
The Montgomery County Public Schools and the Montgomery County Education Association have reached individual settlement agreements on behalf of seven teachers regarding a test security incident last spring at Silver Spring International Middle School.
All parties believe that the settlements provide a fair and equitable resolution to the matter, ending the appeals by the teachers and modifying the actions taken by the school system.
The settlement agreements include a confidentiality clause and, therefore, all parties will refrain from public comment inconsistent with this statement.
