Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and the Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA) are hosting an LGBTQIA Forum on Saturday, May 18. The event will work to build, support and advocate for a stronger and more diverse LGBTQIA school community. It will be held from 9 a.m.–noon at Thomas S. Wootton High School, 2100 Wootton Parkway in Rockville.

The event will feature a keynote address from Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass and several breakout sessions for parents, students and community members. Among those scheduled to speak at the event:

-Karla Silvestre, Member, Montgomery County Board of Education
-Jack Smith, Superintendent, Montgomery County Public Schools
-Gabriel Acevero, Maryland State Delegate, District 39

The event is free and open to the public.
